This Rev. Court met here on Tuesday. The statistics submitted showed a membership of 1705; ordinary income, £2005; for missionary and benevolent purposes, £425—in all, 28s 6d per member. It was agreed that the present rules in reference to ordination of ministers be adhered to, and also to recommend the new hymn book to th congregations. The plans of the new U. P. Church, which is about to be erected at Newton Stewart, and is estimated to cost nearly £2000, were submitted an approved of, and it was agreed to recommend the application of the congregation to the liberality of the church.
