NEWTON-STEWART
THE WEATHER

A snowstorm of unusual severity took place in this district on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The wind on the former day blew almost a gale from E. S.E.; and towards nightfall a blinding, drifting snow began to fall, and continued form several hours. In sheltered, places the snow lies to the depth of several feet. Today (Wednesday) the wind has veered to the north, and a keen frost prevails.
