HELP WANTED
I am seeking information about our families, not just who they were, but also information about their lives. What did they do, where did they live, how did partners meet? All the things that bring a family tree to life. If you can help with any information about the the people and familes found on this website, I would be very grateful.
The following people are proving to be rather elusive to say the least. If you know anything about them please contact me.

James SHEPHEARD

Father of Henry Sheppard (See also). Henry's naval records give his birth details as 1818, Bridgewater Somerset. His marriage certificate shows his father as James Shepheard. Seeking Baptismal Records for Henry and information on James

HARDING and related Families (RUSSELL, McGILL, PULFORD, BAXTER), - Newton Stewart

Seeking information on HARDING and related familes from Newton Stewart area. The following information has been gleaned from notes kept in a scrapbook by my wife's grandfather John Harding of Newton Stewart. This John was descended from a John Harding who came to the area from Devon in 1788. He was a shoemaker and came to Bargaly Mansion in 1811. In 1814 he married a Margaret Russell also of Bargaly Farm. Their son William married a Hannah McGill. William like his father was a shoemaker and later a postman. The Harding men were postmen in Minnigaff and Newton Stewart up until the 1930's. They were also active as correspondents to the local Ayr Advertiser and Galloway Gazette and librarians at the Newton Stewart Mechanics Institute.
