JAMES⁸ HARVEY COBURN (William⁷, David⁶, David⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Joseph², Edward¹) b. 12 Jan. 1867 d. 5 Sept. 1900 son of William and Emeline (Haines) Coburn.

James was born in the homestead at Keswick Ridge. He was William and Emeline’s only son. When his mother Emeline died 8 Feb. 1867 he was less than a month old, so the only mother he knew was stepmother Margaret Jane.

For a timeJames owned the Robert K.Jewett place but lost interest in farming and sold it to Richard S. Reed, whose grandson Gerald Reed is the present owner. James’story is told by Burris Coburn in his father William’s biography.

James died 5 September 1900. James was never married.
