Keswick Ridge Historical Society

In the spring of 1999 a group of concerned citizens formed the Keswick Ridge Historical Society in an effort to preserve the Keswick Ridge Superior School and revitalize it as a valuable community asset. Working closely with the Keswick Ridge Local Service district, it is The Society's intention to restore Keswick Ridge Superior School for use as a community museum and Society headquarters. The Society is exploring other possible future uses for the building too, such as a center for teaching traditional arts and skills of yesteryear. And as a tea room it could become an important social center for residents and visitors alike. The Society has also initiated action through the New Brunswick Department of Municipalities, Culture and Housing to have Keswick Ridge Superior School registered as an official Provincial Historical site.
The school building has been vacant for many years and the Keswick Ridge Historical Society is in the process of raising funds for the necessary structural repairs and restoration work. Through grants, auctions, bake sales, donations and other fundraisers the Keswick Ridge Historical Society intends to restore this building and maintain the property it occupies. Already this project has generated a great deal of interest among local residents and former graduates and its completion shall serve as a great source of community pride.
If you would like to participate in this worthwhile project, either by joining The Society or by making a donation of cash, building materials or services, please contact the President of the Society:
