The Country Doctor
Not far from the school is the road to Macnaquac. Along this road are the Rectory of All Saints Episcopal Church and the home and office of Dr. Benjamin Coburn Physician and Surgeon, a son of David Coburn. The country doctor was an important and respected man in the rural community. His horse and waggon or sleigh in winter were trademarks of his profession. The Rev. David Coburn writes of his uncle.
